STEP BY STEP

HOW YOUR
ORDER WORKS

From quote request to pickup, here's exactly what to expect when you order with Next Gen Prints.

01

Request a Quote

Customers submit their garment type, quantity, sizes, print locations, colors, deadline, and artwork. Our minimum order is 12 pieces.

02

Review, Pricing & Payment

We review the details, confirm garment availability, recommend screen printing or DTF, and provide a complete quote. Production begins after the quote is approved and the required payment is completed.

03

Artwork & Proof Approval

We send a digital proof showing the design, approximate size, placement, garment color, and ink colors. Customers must carefully check all spelling, colors, sizes, and placement before approving. Changes after approval may cause additional charges or delays.

04

Production & Quality Check

After payment and proof approval, garments are ordered and production begins. Every completed order is inspected for print quality, quantities, sizes, and overall appearance. Standard turnaround is approximately 7–10 business days, depending on garment availability.

05

Pickup or Delivery

We notify the customer when the order is complete and ready for local pickup or shipping when available.

Need your order by a specific date? Please let us know before approving your quote. Rush service depends on availability and may include an additional fee.

PRINTING METHODS

SCREEN PRINTING vs.
DTF PRINTING

Which is right for your order? Here's a simple breakdown to help you choose.

CARD 1

WHAT IS SCREEN PRINTING?

Screen printing uses mesh screens and ink to print each color of a design directly onto the garment. It produces vibrant, durable prints and is ideal for larger orders featuring designs with a limited number of colors.

BEST FOR

  • Orders of 12 or more shirts
  • Company uniforms and work shirts
  • School, team, church, and event shirts
  • Simple logos and designs with solid colors
  • Better pricing on larger quantities

IMPORTANT TO KNOW

Each color in the design requires a separate screen. The final price depends on the number of shirts, number of print colors, garment color, print locations, and artwork.

CARD 2

WHAT IS DTF PRINTING?

DTF stands for Direct-to-Film. The design is printed in full color onto a special film and then heat-pressed onto the garment. DTF works well for detailed artwork, photographs, gradients, small lettering, and designs containing many colors.

BEST FOR

  • Smaller orders
  • Full-color or highly detailed designs
  • Photographs, gradients, and colorful logos
  • Individual names or custom designs
  • Designs that would require many screens

IMPORTANT TO KNOW

DTF prints have a slightly different feel than traditional screen printing because the entire design is transferred onto the garment. Pricing depends on the design size, garment type, quantity, and number of print locations.

WHICH SHOULD YOU CHOOSE?

Choose Screen Printing if

You need 12 or more shirts, your design has only a few colors, and you want a durable print with lower pricing at higher quantities.

Choose DTF if

You need a smaller quantity or your artwork contains many colors, fine details, gradients, or photographic elements.

Not sure which printing method to choose? Submit your artwork with your quote request, and Next Gen Prints will recommend the best option for your design, quantity, and budget.
